OS(Operating System) in a USB Flash Drive

Posted in: Linux

I was really fascinated with the evolution and great ideas on the internet today. Because today I’ve discovered a new and exciting Operating System that is Small enough to fit in a 64MB USB Flash Drive… See it for your self http://www.damnsmalllinux.org … Fantastic! Isn’t it?

Wow! I could never imagine that, that kind of OS really exist. That’s what I’m up to right now. Exploring the possibilities and features of that kind of OS. I’m installing it to my USB right now, so that I have an OS with me, wherever I go. And besides, I could use this OS on old computers. It can run and power up computers like 486DX with 16MB of ram. So those folks out there who are trying to get rid of their old and slow computers. Don’t throw it away! Give them to me instead and I could power that up really fast on this OS (hehe joke!).

I’ve also come across other OS similar to this but it requires larger USB sizes (like 256 and above). The second one I’ve tried is Puppy Linux, and there are a lot of OS out there that can fit on a USB. Try visiting DistroWatch.com to see other Linux distribution.

I’m beginning to like Linux a lot!
